Step into the Circle – Crúac is the common name for the pagan blood sorcery practiced by the members of the Circle of the Crone. Primal and powerful, Crúac requires the sacrifice of blood and the learning of rituals by its users. Much of Kindred society finds Crúac unsavory, and Lancea Sanctum domains have been known to brand its practitioners as heretics. Therefore, the Discipline remains a closely guarded secret. A character must earn at least one dot of the Covenant Status (Circle of the Crone) Merit in order to be taught Crúac. Those who leave the covenant find themselves closely watched by their former Circle allies.

A character has a score for Crúac, just like any other Discipline, but the score determines the maximum level of rituals instead of granting a specific power. A ritual is gained for free when the character increases her Crúac score, but after that, rituals can be purchased with experience points.

The Hydra's Vitae (Level-Two Ritual) – By invoking this ritual, the performer protects himself from would-be diablerists and from those who would otherwise feast upon his blood. This ritual transforms the sorcerer's Vitae into a kind of poison. Kindred who drink it suffer one point of lethal damage for every Vitae consumed, while mortals who imbibe suffer two points of lethal damage for each Vitae. Vitae altered by this ritual is only poisonous as long as it is in the performer's body. If the poisoned Vitae leaves, it becomes ordinary Kindred Vitae.
