TUESDAY, JULY 27 In game terms, the drinker's player makes a Resolve + Composure roll every time the character tastes the blood, with a cumulative –1 penalty for every time the character drinks. After a single failure, the character becomes an addict – a dramatic failure means the character loses a piece of their mind to the addiction and gains a derangement. A long period of inactivity, such as torpor, is all that can cure the physical craving for the addiction, and the mental need is never gone. Like any other addiction, the call of the Blood can be ignored, but never truly goes away. The Sweetest Sin – Artist Mark A. Nelson gives us a look at the seduction of the Kindred bite. Look for this and other pieces by Mark in Vampire: The Requiem and the World of Darkness Rulebook. |
